Laboratory presentation

In order to analyse the harmonic content of the output voltages we can start with the one of the potentials Pj of each of the arms.

Single-phase inverter application

  • Determine the development in Fourier series of the potential Pj of the 1st arm considering as a time origin the passage of P1 from -U/2 to +U/2.

  • Deduct the development in Fourier series of the potentials P1 and P2 and of the voltage u¢.

Tri-phased inverter application

As in the case of the single-phase inverter, we can start from the development in Fourier series of the arm's potentials.

  • Determine the development in Fourier series of the potentials PA, PB, PC considering as a time origin the passage of PA from -U/2 to +U/2.

  • Deduct the development in Fourier series of the potentials PA, PB, PC, and of u¢A if the load is tri phased, star-balanced, with insulated null.
